At our pickleball club, we prioritize your safety and enjoyment on the court. When it comes to weather conditions, we want to ensure that everyone has a pleasant playing experience. In the event of inclement weather, such as heavy rain, lightning, our policy is to suspend play for the safety of all members. While we do our best to anticipate weather changes, sometimes conditions may change rapidly, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during such times. See our general rules for Rain, Cold and Wind below;
An SPC Leadership Committee member will cancel an event due to a rainout and announce it on the Discord Weather Channel at least 45-minutes prior to that event starting. We will call off events as early as possible when weather is imminent.
Anytime the “Feels Like” temperature (taking temp, wind, and humidity into consideration), according to WealtherBug (see link below), is below 38 degrees the event will NOT be canceled, but it will automatically turn into an Open Play event with NO Erne. This will allow for the die-hards to still play, it just won't be a structured event.
Anytime the wind speed is greater than 20mph the event will NOT be canceled, but it will automatically turn into an Open Play event with NO Erne. This will allow for the die-hards to still play, it just won't be a structured event.
